The court granted Cannon’s motion for compassionate release, because (1) Cannon was 71 years old and suffered from diabetes, stage-3 chronic kidney diseases, obesity, hypertension, and high cholesterol, (2) the government conceded that Cannon’s medical conditions form extraordinary and compelling reasons for compassionate release, (3) Cannon’s criminal history didn’t include any violence or guns, and (4) in light of Cannon’s age and family support upon release, he would not be a danger to the community.
