The court dismissed without prejudice an action for § 2241 habeas corpus and 18 U.S.C. § 3582 compassionate release of a 63-year old female suffering from a heart-valve defect and high blood pressure. Regarding compassionate release under 18 U.S.C. § 3582, the court found that it lacked jurisdiction and that the claim should be raised in her criminal case in the Eastern District of California. Regarding the Equal Protection claim and the claim regarding U.S. Attorney Barr’s spring 2020 memoranda, the court found that these claims were properly the subject of a civil rights complaint rather than a habeas petition.
